Woods of a lakeside "On the rock" putting ice into beer and enjoy drinking in Akita.

I've heard an article that there's beer in which you put ice and enjoy drinking this hot summer.

I learned from an article that this summer, you drink beer with ice on it. This beer has been brewed for two years by Mr.Mori near a lakeside, who has been brewing beer in Akita. You drink beer floating ice on it and as the name shows, it's beer specialized on the rock.

The way of drinking is putting plenty of ice into a glass and stir a little. After the glass gets cool, just pour beer quietly on ice.

In this point, it's the same way as that of making highball. First of all, you cool a glass full and complete.

In a hot day, I feel like drinking beer with ice in it. No matter how it may taste, I drink beer giving high priority to cool my throat anyway.

Finishing a seminar in Fukui Pref, I enjoyed a non-alcoholic social gathering(many people come by car). After that I was taken to a robatayaki(Japanese version of grilling) restaurant, "Yakichi".

I've heard that there are several ones in Fukui Pref. and the local residents say they are good. I love that kind of restaurant.

"Wow, what's Heshiko ?" "I want to have Battera !" "Nodokuroshioyaki looks delicious !" I thought looking at the entrance board, but thinking deeply I remembered that I had eaten only "Ishidaizukuri".

Anyway,,,,

"Sashimi" is very cheap ! and what is more they serve cheap and good dishes. Looking at a menu again, I regret that I should have eaten this and that.

I must go to Fukui again.

Nigiri Sushi with small squid in it. There's sushi rice inside squid's belly and this is delicious ! It was so delicious that I could have about 20 pieces by myself.

Local Sake named Kokuryu.

The last dish is a miso-soup made from bones of Sashimi in a live box.

Obachan, a staff of that restaurant was fine and interesting. I've had enough !

When I traveled on business, I was told that there was "A Hall of Spectacles" at Sabae city which was called a holly land of spectacles. There, I made an experience to make a strap of spectacles by myself !

Why is Sabae called a holy land of spectacles ? Because the share of eyeglasses frames is over 90% in Japan. 90% ?

That's why such "A Hall of Spectacles" was built. It takes about 10 minutes' walk from JR Sabae Station to get there.

"Megane Museum" is built next to it, but I didn't have enough time to look it around.

Actually my spectacles can be made if I had made an appointment beforehand.

I can have an experience to make my spectacles by myself at the price 17,850 yen. Make my spectacles by myself. It's great !

I really wanted to have an this experience, but I hadn't made an appointment beforehand and also I knew it would take a whole day. I gave up this time.

So, I had an experience to make a strap of spectacles which could be enjoyed easier.

The pictures above is an original form. The hole of spectacles is blank. You can design the rim as you like, but as there is a form, I used it. I draw a line together by a pencil.

I cut it by a jig saw. I think my using a jig saw is after more than 20 years. As it is very small, using a jig saw is not easy indeed.。

Actually the first rim was not succeeded and I tried an another rim again.

I file away.

I've made a form in one way or another. Maybe it has taken 30 minutes so far.

Next by using an iron board, I pruned away a narrow line made by filing.

In the end, we polished it. We polished it with mud and this is my first experience.

And this is the thing how it was polished beautifully !

It has become sparkely clean.

If you make a strap, the price is 300 yen. And this type if necklace is 400 yen. At any rate, the price for an hour's making spectacles' strap is real cheap.

It became a nice souvenir and a good memory as well.

Someday, I would like to go there to make my own spectacles by myself.

It is said that Sendai is famous for beef tongue, so I wanted to go to beef tongue restaurant. But it was almost departure time for shinkansen,,,. So I was buying a roasted beef tongue set which was told by twitter.

On the 3rd floor of Sendai Station, there's a street called "Beef Tongue Street". To begin with "Rikyu", we can see lots of beef tongue restaurants on the street.

I immediately went to "Kisuke" I had been recommended and ordered "Roasted beef tongue set with wheat rice to take out"!

The waiter asked, "Would you wait for several minutes ?", then he began to roast it after my orders. I can have a fresh roasted beef tongue in the Shinkansen ! How nice !

The price is 1,250 yen. It might be as reasonable as that of Ekiben(train lunch).
