PHS powered by a single AA battery

On August 24, WILLCOM and Sanyo announced a new PHS that works on a single AA battery.
As reported here [jp], Sanyo revealed a pilot model of a PHS that works on a single AA battery. It's a working prototype and the unique appearance is inspired by “eneloop”, Sanyo’s next-generation nickel metal hydride battery.
This W-SIM phone provides 5 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time with a single AA battery.
This impressively-long battery life is partially realized by the fact that it lacks a LCD screen, but I’d like to see at least a way to control power on/off and a way to look up a phone directory before it goes into the mass production stage.
Anyway, this handset, if commercialized, would allow users to exchange the W-SIM card and continue conversation when a battery runs out while they are out.
This is just a concept model of a W-SIM phone, but I hope such unique phones would come more in the future. I can't wait.
