Baidu to launch its Japanese version on January 23, 2008

From an article: “Baidu to unveil Japanese search services on January 23; Travel search, gourmet search and more [jp]”:
Baidu, the leading Chinese language Internet search provider, is going to offer Japanese language search services from January 23.
If you access “baidu.jp” now, you’ll see a line saying “Baidu.jp to start full-scale services from January 23, 2008”.

Click the line, and you’ll get this:

It seems that Baidu.jp is going to provide three kinds of search services:
・Video Search
・Travel Search
・Gourmet Search
IT writer Takaaki Mizuno has already revealed his move from Hatena to Baidu.
I’m going to work for Baidu.jp. from January 2008. Although the place is different, I will continue to be committed to the Internet and its future.
I guess he will be writing some books or articles that would promote his new company …
