On June 8th at noon, long-awaited screw-kewpie started on sale at Kamiyacho's screw shop,"Sanwa Byora" located in Toranomon 4-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo

Introduced by TV and newspapers, it accelerated its popularity. All prepared 1,000 Screw-Kewpie were sold out in little more than two hours.

Planned as "Zone-based Screw-kewpie" by Kamiyacho's screw shop,"Sanwa Byora" got into the news.

Introduced on TV progam "Moyamoya samaazu", it became popular among customers and made a long line on arrival date, they said.

For 8th of first sale. Ishii couple,her sister Eiko and Kayoko decorate screw on kewpie by hand. Average 100 unit for each character including popular 200 "NejiKirari" were made.

Oh, a familiy makes them manually. I am curious to know why "Screw-Kewpie" is so popular.
