Advanced/W-ZERO3[es] - First impression

Guess what, I bought it!

I might have seemed reluctant to buy it, but in the end, I did.
I bought it at SAKURAYA, so I could get 4000+ points. I got another 3000 yen discount using WILLCOM coins. That made the final purchase price between 40,000 – 50,000 yen. That's not bad.
Yes, that's an excuse. To say the truth, I bought it because I heard that Lunascape Mobile boots faster on Advanced [es]. I wanted to try it.
It might sound as a "wag-the-dog" kind of stunt. I could ask someone to show it to me, too. But well, that's the way shopping should be, isn't that? ;-)

Lunascape blog [Japanese site] reports the boot speed of Lunascape Mobile on Advanced [es]:
... I also compared the boot speed of their rival browser, Opera. Left is Opera8.7 on Advanced/W-ZERO3[es], and right is Opera8.6 on the original W-ZERO3. The original W-ZERO3 displays a splash window faster than [es], but if you compare by the total time to boot, [es] is far faster than the orignal. However, Lunascape Mobile goes faster.
Lunascape Mobile is the fastest at this moment!
He makes a comparison using video, so it's very easy to understand. I’ve heard that Opera boots faster on [es], but did not know Lunascape Mobile was even faster.
I care the speed of applications, so this is a great news.
I'm using it only for short period of time, but I could tell the difference:
- Improved visual (inclduing Windows Mobile icons)
- Applications boot faster (as reported)
- Nice texture (hardware)
- Looks like a "phone" than the original [es] ...
I have the impression that the week points of the original [es] were cleared up.

The Advanced [es] is not a "super cool gadget". It's unspectacular, but it’s improved.
The original [es] users might have favorable impression on these improvements.
Next time I go the Urawa Reds game, I try the live (text) coverage of the game using my Advanced [es] and Twitter.
I keep using it and will report again.
